Classic r n b tunes by the likes of Prince, Stevie Wonder, Sade, Pharrell Williams, Beyonce, Adele, Nina Simone and Soul II Soul, sung in easy three-part harmonies, original arrangements written and taught by experienced singing coach Jonny Velon.
Whether you've not sung since school or fancy yourself as a closet diva, Jonny's warm-ups and singing games will help you find your voice and make new friends. A session of singing and getting back in touch with our rhythm and blues! Friendly crowd. All music taught by ear.
Wednesday evenings currently on Zoom, normally at St. Stephen's Church, Bristol, BS1 1EQ, 7.30-9.00pm. First session free trial. Then termly payments averaging £8/session. New members welcome any week!
MORE ON R N B CHOIR
Since March 2020, R n B Choir has been working round the social distancing restrictions by interacting live online. Choir members tune in via Zoom video and enjoy learning songs and technique from Jonny Velon's teaching, as well as socialising with other singers.
Recordings can be made of individual singers' parts and then later stitched together using music software: this way, choir harmonies are heard and enjoyed retrospectively.
